I design and make mixed media jewellery from my workshop in Bingley, West Yorkshire. I work predominantly in silver but like to combine other, found materials to my work to add colour and interest. I sell my work online, at contemporary craft shows and through a number of galleries around the U.K.

I design and make mixed media jewellery from my workshop in West Yorkshire. I work predominantly in silver, incorporating other materials such as vintage plastics (Bakelite, Casein, Lucite) and Czech glass to add colour to the jewellery I create. Most of the work I make is hand built using forging techniques or pierced from sheet metal. I design quite simple forms which are then embellished with techniques such as hand stamping, etching and reticulation. I am always on the lookout for vintage tools which I re-purposes to hammer marks into the metal, to create interesting patterns and textures.

Inspiration comes from the surrounding landscape. Tall, waving grasses, delicate wild flowers and sculptural seed heads that can be found in the hedgerows and along the towpaths near where I live. All of these forms translate well into metal and therefore jewellery, and have led to a series of statement brooches and pendants.
