A figurative artist, I work predominantly in mixed media to create artwork that is representational and experimental. I create sensitive, spiritual pieces expressed through colour, form, line, and texture. I am working on self-initiated projects to build a current, cohesive and comprehensive portfolio, always pushing boundaries of my abilities to find ways to cross-over and develop my practice.

My work is grounded in the observation of moments in life. I want to make pieces that connect with and speak of our human existence, particularly mapping under-represented aspects of female lives. My work takes a range of forms depending upon my inspiration.

We all dream. Dreams are our mind’s unconscious messages - related to whatever occupies the most our mind during the day. Dreams can provide specific solutions to current dilemmas. I dream paintings, I paint dreams. My work examines the representation of nocturnal dreams, focusing on those which appear in the hypnagogic phase. I investigate the potential of lucid dreaming in the creation process.

My collections combine two materials that began at the same source. Paper, a short-term material is recycled to create a new texture and is married with different wood. As both materials are worked using traditional wood working techniques, they are transformed into bespoke and tactile objects. My actions reveal the unseen internal imprint as the surface is scraped away.
