I draw and paint with machine thread onto mostly furnishing fabrics using animals as my inspiration. I love textures and layers and although you can achieve this with paint, stitch can really encourage the viewer to speculate on how the work was achieved. I live in Brighton, East Sussex and teach Art and Textiles at a local Secondary School.

An artist and psychologist, I explore the human experience from my academic activities. I illustrate psychological phenomena, theories and concept in light of the current social context and of our future. As a result, my visual language presents itself in iconic, timeless and geometric forms. Science and art converge into a visual artform of heightened aesthetic sense and vivid compositions.

I'm a painter, drawing from nature, and seeking the symbiotic relationships and wellbeing that the natural world can bring. My paintings varying in scale, with smaller, more intimate surreal-like painted works forming installations. A process- based and curiosity driven practice, painting with immediacy, and intuition, which is later refined with a more considered aesthetic.
