    Ross’ practice is centred around nature in an urban environment, a sense of place, utilising and repurposing found and recycled materials are key to both sustainability & minimising my artistic footprint. Examining the relationship with nature that surrounds us; time, identity, consumption and history informs these concerns, inviting us to view things in a different way.

    During total isolation, in lockdown, I painted over a 164 artworks up to date. I also took up meditation which allowed my imagination to flow again. It was cathartic and eased the trauma from what was happening in the outside world. Life is returning back to what was before, but with a greater sense of appreciating family and friends, united.

    Amy Jackson is a conceptual visual artist and sculptor with 17 years of experience. She studied Fine Art at the Ruskin, University of Oxford in 2005 - 2008. Jackson explores issues such as climate change, consumerism, mental health, social inequalities and critically, how these themes are inextricably linked. She works mainly with photography, often in combination with other mediums. As a neurodivergent, queer person, living with disabling chronic health conditions, she draws on her lived experiences, as well as those of others.
