    I'm a ceramic sculptor who loves clay. The infinite possibilities of clay as a medium appeals to my need to constantly evolve my work as well as my love of learning and challenging myself. I love trying new techniques and pushing the boundaries with much of my work now single fired. Teaching adds another layer to that as I run a membership, classes and workshops from my Cambridgeshire studio.

    Jo creates abstract sea/colour-scapes focusing on horizons, using gold, silver, copper metal-leaf, oil-paint, playing with rust and verdigris on plaster and wooden panels. Her work is inspired by extensive travel - sailing in her twenties delivering yachts, and her childhood years living in Australia. 20x20cm to 120x120cm.

    Over the last twenty years I have worked as an independent community arts practitioner across various settings including healthcare, education and in community. I have used puppetry, 2D and 3D media, textiles and storytelling as creative mediums. More recently I have focused on traditional Scottish crafts of spinning and weaving with references to natural landscapes and sense of place.
