I am an interdisciplinary artist working across a range of media . My work explores feelings of grief and loss through the context of “what remains”. How we connect to and remember the dead through the material "stuff" which is left behind is central to my work. I use a visual language of dereliction , fragility and decay in my artmaking in order to mirror the emotional state of grief.

I am an artist working with painting and photography. My focus is to explore patterns emerging through movement, repetition, and chance. In photography I am exploring these processes in the natural world, and with painting in the symbolic world. Both relate to human experience and emotion. My paintings and photographs are related areas of work underpinned by similar ideas.

Though rooted in printmaking, my MA in Fine Art (UAL) encouraged me to expand my practice to include installation and assemblage. I use a range of media including traditional (e.g. print, ceramics) and newer technologies (e.g. laser cut) which I combine to stretch possibilities. My work reflects the range of human experience, with dementia and the working poor among my subjects.

With a background in Mental Health and Education I am only now able to concentrate full time on my artistic practice, that was once just a pastime to aide relaxation. I am studying for a BA (Hons) in Fine Art and have recently exhibited and sold my work as a ‘One to Watch!’ (2022) talented and emerging Yorkshire artist.

I’m a multi-disciplinary artist with a current focus on painting, who studied at Central Saint Martins. I'm inspired when art provokes people to reconsider the familiar. Throughout last year I started experimenting with 2D mixed media paintings, using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) as a tool to enable my art. I want my work to be both expressive and representational. I am a TB survivor.
