    I am a teacher of Geography and until a few years ago I never thought I had a creative bone in my body. I then discovered wood turning and the joy of shaping wood as if it was clay. I have rapidly moved away from traditional wood turning and like to use a variety of non-traditional wood and different materials that enhance the wood. I like form and shape inspired by nature.

    An artist and psychologist, I explore the human experience from my academic activities. I illustrate psychological phenomena, theories and concept in light of the current social context and of our future. As a result, my visual language presents itself in iconic, timeless and geometric forms. Science and art converge into a visual artform of heightened aesthetic sense and vivid compositions.

    I am a freelance photographer with a wide range of photographic interests, so I don't specialise in any particular genre.     Recent graduate of a first class degree in BA (Hons) Fine Art at the Northern School of Art. I enjoy the process of investigating landscape via graphite, paint, photography and collage.     I am an artist based in Cumbria, originally from South Yorkshire. My main focus within my art practice is to create sculptural artworks by recreating and repurposing items and materials that I collect, source and find.
