A visual artist recently registered Severely Sight Impaired.(Blind) Formerly combined a career as an artist and curator. Goldsmiths graduate 1989.

I am a isual artist who works primarily as a painter. Previously painting memories of place I have been forced to adapt my practice due to my degenerative sight loss. This adaption has involved the use of brighter colours, bolder mark making and assistive technology to interpret memories not only of place but of everyday life and lived experiences.

In 2021 I received Arts Council England funding to 'Come Out as a Blind Painter' embracing my sigh loss and coming out to peers, collectors, curators and others with visual impairemts through an accessible exhibition and short documentary film in collaboration with OSR Projects, Somerset. This exhibition and my subsequent work has involved collaborations with other artists to provide a unique and humorous insight in to my life as a visually impaired artist. This new work has seen my practise encompass printmaking and installation.
