I have recently completed an art degree in Glass and ceramics from the University of Sunderland. I am a experienced craft tutor and work for WEA and Cultural Spring. I have also run her own workshops at different venues in the North East for several years. During the pandemic I supplied craft kits for people who were isolating. I also run a small studio in South Tyneside.

I am a multi-discipline Christian artist living in the North East of England. With a deep appreciation of the natural world, I am continually inspired by my surroundings, collecting organic on daily walks. I observe and preserves organic materials before they wither and die; I transforms these forms, encapsulating them in ceramics or casting them in metal to hold in stasis their fragile natural beauty. I am influenced by artists such as David Watkins for his miniature sculptures which are developed to become larger scale wearable objects and Gillian Lowndes whose sculptural work is created from found objects. The ultimate goal of my work is to generate a meaningful interaction between the body and nature.
