Imp Creative Studio North Yorkshire, United Kingdom
  Back to profiles

I am a painter, textile artist and sculptor, living in North Yorkshire. Inspired by nature and the local environment.

I studied Art and Design many years ago, majoring in textiles, which consisted mostly of surface pattern design. One of my tutors recommended ‘The Subversive Stitch’ to me, which has been influential ever since.

I have dabbled in many creative practices, jewellery making and design, drawing and painting, metal work and clay, but textiles have always remained close to my heart. Three years ago, I discovered needle felting, wet felting and sculpture, this has now allowed me to expand my practice into new and exciting areas.

Since discovering the felting process, I have worked with costume departments, interior designers and storytellers, providing embellishments, props and fine art pieces.
