The two words, Landscape and Time, could in some respects encapsulate my work... alongside Memory and Language perhaps... With a link to my website just below the West, in West Yorkshire, above...
LANDSCAPE and TIME: I try to produce work that invites the viewer to consider both of these 'simple' elements in what I hope they will find to be a new and engaging way. The 'Conversations With Time' pieces - there currently 16 of these - take an old, and often forgotten, effigy found in a country church as their starting point; reinventing the image, to breathe new life into a dusty piece of our history, alongside a small prose poem written specifically for each location. The 'Conversations With A Landscape' pieces reinvent the way in which we might perceive that landscape, concentrating on the ground we actually 'walk upon, rather than the landscape we observe as we travel across it. It's a very simple idea, that reveals a world that is usually ignored. Thank you for visiting my website here at CuratorSpace.
