I’m a painter & tutor. I work from home in my studio and paint directly from the landscape / townscape. Recently I have adopted the mantra that my work will make a statement as well as working on a formal level.

I was fortunate to attend two really influential Art colleges. St Albans, now Hertfordshire College of Art and Canterbury. Both had a strong ethic of working from life and promoted an array of fabulous 20 Century artists, both home grown and immigrants. These were also very influential as visiting tutors. Wales is my adopted country, I have lived and worked here for 40 years. I have always taught to enable my painting practice and am now in a position to paint almost full time.
