A chance to be part of "Ah Kissing", a group performance piece by Rosanna Irvine as part of BUZZCUT 2017.

“Ah kissing” is a public art work by Rosanna Irvine happening as part of BUZZCUT festival in Govan on the 8th of April. It will take the form of a mass of couples kissing in public accompanied by a piper who will perform whilst walking towards, past, and away from them. 

“Ah kissing” will happen in a pedestrian area of Govan. It aims to slow down time - to create a delicate and extended moment of human affection in the heart of city life - and to quietly celebrate the ordinariness and glory of human connection.

We are looking for a diverse group of participants of all ages (16+), genders, abilities, sexualities, races and ethnicities. Participants don’t need performance experience, only to come with a kissing partner. There will be two simple rehearsals at The Pearce Institute on; 

Thursday the 30th of March - 18:30 - 20:30

Monday the 3rd of April - 18:30 - 20:30

As a participant you will be required to move towards your partner, kiss in your own way, while standing - or sitting if you prefer to - for around 15 minutes taking pauses when you want, and then move on.

If you have any access requirements that may make this action difficult for you then don’t hesitate to get in touch as we have resources available to support you and we'd love for you to take part! 

All participants will receive a free lunch on the day of the performance, an opportunity to see all the work in the festival for free and travel expenses paid (within Glasgow). 

We are trying to get together as diverse a group as possible for this piece and so it would be very useful for us if you could specify the following information about yourself and your kissing partner:

- your ages

- how you define your gender identity

- how you define your ethnicity

- if you or your partner have any access requirements
