Competition for external artworks to be shown at Art in the Garden 2026 in Hampshire. This is an open call to any artist or maker working in any medium, living in Hampshire or the adjoining counties. Entrants must be 18 years of age or over, including students.

Art in the Garden is an annual show and has been running for many years, however, since 2018, we have introduced an additional opportunity to exhibit in the woodland area along with Little Forest Land Art exhibitors.

We are based in Hampshire, UK and looking for entrants from Hampshire and adjoining counties only.

Applicants must be aged 18 plus.

We want to build on the success of previous installations and extend the variety and number of external works on show, and as suc,h the successful applicants' installation must be able to withstand the external environment for at least the duration of this 2-week event held from 22 May to 6 June 2026

There are many different areas and environments around the site, including decaying corrugated pig huts, a pond, wood pile walls, and under old oak and yew trees, to name a few.

We have an Open Day for you to view the site scheduled for Sunday, 11th January, between 10 am and 3 pm.  (Other dates may be booked by appointment via contacting us through the Contact Curator tab.)

Art in the Garden 2026 is a selling event attended by over 2,000 people: collectors, enthusiasts, buyers, curators, and gallerists.

Any works sold via this application attract just a 10% commission fee.

However, this is primarily an opportunity for your work to reach a broader audience in a different environment.

Looking forward to seeing your submission .... something for the external environment - any material considered providing robust enough to withstand the elements during the event.

This is a judged competition, and the winner will receive £150.

There will also be a People's Choice award of £50, voted for by the visiting public during the show.
