Art in Your Eyes is an opportunity for all Artists to exhibit their work in a beautiful venue in the Centre of Leeds, close to City Square and the railway station and next door to the well-known Trinity Shopping Centre. This event will be held on 8th, 9th and 10th May 2026, with a preview evening on 8th May 2026.

WHO ARE ART IN YOUR EYES?

Art in Your Eyes was formed by Sue.e.s, who is part of North Yorkshire Open Studios, with the intention of creating an equal opportunity for Artists of ALL levels.

Sue.e.s has previously led many other Fund Raising Events in West Yorkshire for both the NSPCC and Animal Rescue Organisations. 

She has also had a success with her Art at the Royal Academy of Art Summer Exhibition in London in 2024, as well as being part of North Yorkshire Open Studios, 2025 and also wilL be in 2026.

She is actively involved in North Yorkshire Studios with their ongoing advertising campaign.

SOCIAL MEDIA

Since Art in Your Eyes joined Instagram a month ago, it now has a following of 437, as well as 32.5k views in the last 30 days and is growing day by day, with followers from many large Art Organisations within Yorkshire.

WHAT IS OUR AIM?

Its aim is to provide the Artists with both a different experience and exposure to the Public and Art Sales.

PUBLICITY

We are doing active outreach to local press and local TV such as the Yorkshire Post, Art Organisations and BBC Look North. With further plans to contact regional magazines (Yorkshire Life)  and radio stations (BBC Radio Leeds), as well as Local Council websites, once the event moves closer to the date. 

A programme will be produced to distribute, which will advertise the Artists involved.

REQUIREMENTS

There isn't a required theme for the submissions, but 2D artists must bear in mind the size of their paintings, as they must fit on the 2M x 1m Art Panel. 

3D will have tables unless otherwise requested. Setting up is from noon to 15.00 on Friday, 8th May 2025. Followed by :

THE PREVIEW EVENING will be from 18.00 - 21.00 and will include canapes and a drink. 

This will be by Invitation only to local Businesses, Sponsors, photographers and the Press, as well as one artist's guest.

PUBLIC ACCESS will be on both Saturday and Sunday (9th and 10th May 2026) from 10.00 - 16.00, and with the building being next to the very large Trinity Shopping Centre, the Venue will attract a very large footfall.

The fee of £100 will be due within 14 days.

Who is eligible for this opportunity?
All 2D and 3D artists.
When is the deadline?
31st January 2026.
How many 2D paintings can I submit
There are no restrictions; however, they must fit on a 2m x 1m panel.
When is the delivery date?
Artists will bring their art in on the day of the Event and set up between noon and 15.00.
When do I need to collect my work?
After the event on Sunday 10th May 2026. Therefore from 16.00 until 20.00. Special arrangements can be made to collect on Monday 11th May 2026.
How much does it cost?
Once the Artist has been notified of their submission(s), the fee of £100 will be due within 14 days
Is there a private view / opening?
Yes, between 18.00 and 21.00 on Friday, 8th May 2026.

Invitations will be sent out to local businesses, sponsors and organisations involved in the event. Artists will be able to invite one other person to the evening preview launch
What are the exhibition opening hours?
10.00 - 16.00 on 9th and 10th May 2026.
Does the location have disabled access?
Yes.
What publicity will be provided as part of the opportunity?
Yorkshire Post and BBC Look North have both had emails sent to them last week. Other publicity will be will local radio station, BBC Radio Leeds, as well the Leeds Council publicising it on their websites. Also, it is our intention to contact Yorkshire Life as well as place notifications in various Art Organisations in both North, South, West Yorkshire, as well as Humberside and surrounding areas.

There will also be a program produced to distribute within local businesses, and these will be available at the event. The programme will include all of the Artists who are exhibiting.
Do I need to be present?
Ideally yes. It is in the Artist's best interests to be available to talk with the Public and for photographers.
Where will my venue be listed?
The Event has already been listed on Instagram/Facebook and other Art Galleries and Organisations have been notified. Again, the BBC Radio and TV will be notified and the Yorkshire Post as well. Leeds Council have various websites where the event will be promoted.
