Calling ARTISTS for art work tackling the subject of the MINIATURE - for Issue 27 -

ARTISTS, do you create tiny works of art?

"People have a real love of looking at small worlds – something inside them is innately attracted to that 'miniature' realm." ~ John Lasseter

We are specifically looking for art that challenges scale.  This can be any form: sculpture; painting; collage; textile; photography; print; film or installations.  Do you create work that is tiny and how does the size reflect the reading of the work? This could be small versions of larger pieces, or an entire landscape or micro world.  Or do you run micro art exhibitions like the galleries both the editors run? And what challenges  and opportunities have these small spaces provided to you and the work?

Do you combine your pieces with real life sized objects to highlight the sizes or to challenge us?

We always ask that each submission includes a short statement to provide context and this is even more vital for this open call as your words can affect the meaning of the work.

DEADLINE 3rd July 2022

If selected your work will be featured across our social media platforms of over 10k followers and be included in the zine that will go live in July 2022.

We cannot wait to see how your creative response tackles this topic.

You will need to submit:

1) Good-quality images of your work (please do not send us thumbnail images).

2) Three lines of text to explain your concept, why you made the piece and any obstacles you had to overcome.

3) Your Instagram name so we can tag you.

We accept short films. Please provide a Vimeo or Youtube link and one still.

No covid-related work, please!

Your work will not be accepted if you do not provide all three of the requested items. If accepted your work will be featured in the Zine, Instagram, and FB for a least one month, and very likely for several.
