Beverley Open Studios 2026 invites artists with a HU17 postcode studio to open their spaces over two October weekends, showcasing work, engaging with the public, and connecting with the local creative community.

Open call for artists

Beverley Open Studios, now in its fifth year, is a popular annual event celebrating contemporary art and making in Beverley and surrounding villages.

Over two weekends in October, artists open their studios and exhibition spaces to the public, offering visitors the chance to buy original work, explore creative processes, and discover local spaces.

We welcome artists and makers who live or have access to a studio or exhibition space within the HU17 postcode. Participants are expected to be present at their venue during opening hours and help promote the event.

Dates: 3–4 October & 10–11 October 2026, 10 am–4 pm

Fee: £70 per artist (no commission on sales)

Application Deadline: 11.59 pm, 1 March 2026

Eligibility: HU17 postcode studio or exhibition access required

Participants receive a dedicated website page, inclusion in the printed map/leaflet, and social media promotion. Beverley Open Studios is run by a volunteer committee, fostering a supportive and collaborative artist community.

Who is eligible for this opportunity?
Artists and makers who live or have access to a studio or exhibition space anywhere within the HU17 postcode over the two Open Studios weekends.

How much does it cost?
The cost is £70 per artist. We do not charge a commission on sales.
Is there a private view / opening?
Artists can choose to have a private view or remain open outside these times if they wish.
What are the exhibition opening hours?
Saturday 3rd October 10.00 am – 4.00 pm
Sunday 4th October 10.00 am – 4.00 pm
Saturday 10th October 10.00 am – 4.00 pm
Sunday 11th October 10.00 am – 4.00 pm
What publicity will be provided as part of the opportunity?
Submission fees contribute towards the cost of the website, printed leaflet/map, and all associated marketing and publicity materials. Each participant will have a dedicated page on the website, be promoted across our social media channels, and have their venue clearly marked on the map/leaflet. We also spread the word through local radio and newspapers.

Beverley Open Studios is run by a small team of volunteers and is very much a group effort. We ask all participants to get involved by helping to promote the event on social media and by assisting with the distribution of leaflets.
Do I need to be present?
Yes, you need to be present at your venue during the published hours both weekends.
Where will my venue be listed?
Each participant will have a dedicated page on the Beverley Open Studios website and will be showcased across social media. Their venue will be indicated on the map/leaflet.
How do you decide on proposals?
We do not have a selection process. All artists will be eligible to take part once they have submitted their application and paid the submission fee.
