Call for artists for group exhibition. The Crypt Gallery, London.

We are a collective of artists known as FUBAR, who create and advocate for pure, honest, raw art. Art that creates a reaction, a feeling, a mood.

We are inviting artists of all mediums to respond to the theme of ‘FUBAR', and participate in a group show in London’s Crypt Gallery.

FUBAR - F*cked Up Beyond All Recognition. What does this mean to you? What feelings does it evoke?

We aim to create a varied, visually stimulating and engaging event that ignites discussion, and unites artist and audience.

The exhibition will take place The Crypt Gallery, London. The Crypt of St Pancras Parish Church in Euston, London was designed and used for coffin burials from 1822 to 1854. In 2002 the Crypt became a gallery space and is now a popular venue hosting a year-round programme of art exhibitions, providing an intensely atmospheric backdrop.

You can take a 3D of the gallery here: Google Maps - Crypt Gallery Tour

We welcome submissions from all UK-based artists of all disciplines, including video/sound installation, interactive performance. As per gallery rules artwork must not be deemed to be pornographic, abusive or relating to the occult.

All artists are advised to have their own insurance for work, as curators and gallery owners cannot be held responsible. Please be aware that the crypt is not fully heated, therefore paper-based artworks could potentially be affected by the damp environment. Any original prints should be protected, eg: mounted/framed.

Upon successful application, artists will be asked to pay a fee of £60 to secure their inclusion in the exhibition.

We are a not-for-profit collective and this fee is to cover hire costs, private view drinks and promotion.

Artists will also receive coverage across our social media platforms, together with the option to take part in our print sale

There will be 0% commission on all sales.

We will notify successful artists shortly after deadline and provide necessary details.
