Call for Artist Concepts... Pop My Mind is asking for creative and innovative artists to submit concepts for an upcoming opportunity to create a one off sculptural piece that will be used by a third party at a trade show. Details of the the third party will be revealed to the selected artist. The artist will be full credited and paid for their work.

The brief:

Create concepts for a sculpture created using the four groups of materials extracted from a recycled fridge - steel, copper & aluminium, plastic and foam dust.

We would like the piece to be...

- EYE CATCHING

- SIMPLE

- PORTABLE

This sculpture needs to be large enough to make an impact but able to be transported and reconstructed by third parties. The selected artist will need to be able to create this piece within a 2 week time frame.

Proposals must include:

- Contact information including; full name, address, telephone number, email address

- Approx. 200 word summary describing your proposal

- Annotated visual indication of what the piece would look like

- A budget detailing the costs for creating & transporting the sculpture. Please include cost of your time

Selection:

- Artists will be contacted by Wednesday 23rd August 2017 to let them know if they are successful or not

- The successful artist will then be sent materials to begin the making of the sculpture.

Deadlines:

- Deadline for CONCEPTS Sunday 20th August 2017 Midnight

- Deadline for creating sculpture Monday 11th September 2017

Payment:

- Artists will receive £800 on the selection of their proposal

- The remainder due will be paid on completion of the project

Yes, artists will be paid for their work.

How do you decide on proposals?

It will be a combination of the Pop My Mind team and the third party client looking over concepts and deciding which are most suitable for purpose.

What happens if my proposal is chosen?

We will contact you by 23rd August and discuss the next stages of the project with you.

What kind of proposals are you looking for?

Proposals can be more on the rough and ready side as long as the visual part of the concept is clear and inspiring
