Call for Poetry, Fiction & Essays for Palestine
Deadline: 05/08/2026Nicole Gayler
100% of profits from selling this anthology will be distributed to organisations working directly on the ground in Gaza to provide medical aid and relief.
Awestruck Press is an emerging literary and arts journal dedicated to the environment, social action and the experience of awe.
It was founded in 2023 with the aim of connecting people to the earth, inspiring awe and serving as a vessel for social action.
We are currently compiling an anthology of poetry, writing and essays in solidarity with Palestine.
We welcome a broad range of work that explores themes that connect to Palestine.
100% of profits from selling this anthology will be distributed to organisations working directly on the ground in Gaza to provide medical aid and relief.
Submission is completely free, and we welcome submissions from anyone.
Each accepted contributor will receive publication in the anthology and a free digital copy.
We also create artist spotlight posts on Instagram for some contributors (randomly selected). How many people are selected varies per issue and is completely dependent on time, resources and page count.
This typically isn't decided until after the selection process.
We occasionally invite artists for an online interview to be included in the publication when they have done notable work in the field.
Past contributors include global poets, authors and artists who are dedicated to the environment.
We have interviewed contributors who were included in the Forbes 30 under 30 list for Asia for their activism and an individual who founded a global anti-hunger initiative.
We are a small team with only just over 600 followers on Instagram (although we are growing).
Initial print run is expected to be 30.
