Come Outside (Online)
Deadline: 21/06/2021Country: United Kingdom | Roisin Delaney
With lockdown (hopefully) easing and the summer weather slowly returning, whether you are breathing in the fresh air or sneezing because of hayfever, we are slowly venturing out into the open air. From working during lockdown to the recent opening of creative spaces, artists can now venture beyond their studios and into inspiring outdoor spaces.
Come Outside is an exhibition that will celebrate the easing of lockdown and the relationship between outdoor spaces and creative development. Planning to exhibit, artwork made that reflects, references, or is inspired by the outdoors, with going outside being an essential role within the creative process; these artworks will be exhibited in an online exhibition to discuss the variety of experiences and reflections of going outside and the influences on creative practices.
This is a part of a hybrid online and offline exhibition which celebrates outdoor influences on creative practices; this open call is for the online section of this exhibition. Artists and artworks for the offline exhibition have already been decided and submissions from this open call, wanting to exhibit in the offline exhibition section, will not be accepted.
20 artists will be selected for the online exhibition and will exhibit alongside the offline artists.
