Exhibition Opportunity for artists from any medium or skill level in July 2022, based on the theme of identity!

As part of my masters project at Norwich University of the Arts, I am planning an exhibition of artists work in Norwich for July 2022, as part of the platform I have created called Empowering Arts. This aims to support and promote artists work, providing equal opportunties for all.

This exhibition will explore work based around the theme of Identity, looking for work that represents who you are as a person or artist. This could be a personality trait, a disability, or an event or experience that has effected you. The theme is very open, but the work should have a connection to you and provide a strong narrative. We are also keen to see work that uses sensory elements, whether this is touch, sound, light, or smell.

This is open to all artists of any level or medium, but you must be 18 years or older and live in the UK. Artists must have their work ready to display in the exhibtiion and be able to get it to Norwich and back for the exhibition. It is free to apply for this exhibtion, but artists must cover their own costs.

The plan is for the work selected to be showcase in an exhibition in or around Norwich city centre, so all artists applying must have their work exhibition ready for July 2022. However, if a venue is not found then this exhibition will be moved online. This will also decide the number of artists selected.

Why should you apply? This is a chance to show your work for free and gain experience exhibiting. This exhibition will be promoted across the platform's channels, with the chance for further promotion for at least one artist via an Instagram takeover on the platform's account. Alongside this, there will be an accompanying exhibition publication which will feature all of the selected artist's work, and be handed out for free during the exhibition.

The deadline for submission is 27th June by 12pm. Please complete the form, including uploading up to five images of your work. This is the only place you can apply for the exhibtion, but if you have any further questions or require any additional support with your application, please get in contact. Once selected, artists will be given key dates for when different elements are required.
