Submissions are invited to take part in “Factorem”, a Makers Christmas Showcase offering the Sculpture Lounge`s established audience a chance to purchase bespoke items in the run up to Christmas. Participation costs only £40, and there is no charge to apply. All sales will be taken through a central desk with a 20% commission. Our participation charge helps to cover the cost of promoting the event to 10,000 local homes with a postal PR campaign.

Artists & makers will be responsible for the display of their work in an allocated space which they will be expected to staff for the duration of the show.

Stands will be between 6 and 8 feet wide, and four feet deep. Spaces with or without walls are available.

There is no facility for power to be provided to individual spaces. Sculpture Lounge have a small number of plinths that can be hired for a small fee.

Our building is a beautiful old woollen mill but it is unheated.

Be aware our winter events are expected to be chilly and our customers dress accordingly.

Approach the event as a covered market. Our cafe/shop space will be heated and, aside from teas and coffees, exhibitors will be asked to place cards and other small, giftable editions in this cafe/shop space for customers to purchase.

This will also allow for an uncluttered exhibition stand.

Sculpture Lounge present exhibitions, arts events and learning opportunities from a bespoke studio environment in the Holme Valley, West Yorkshire.

Complete a submission expressing your interest by midnight 18th August 2024.

Include two images of representative work. If you have images of previous displays/stands you have created, these would be welcome.

You will be notified of your selection by 28th August 

Event dates: Sat 23rd and Sun 24th Nov, 10-5 pm.

Setup: Friday 22nd November from 12 noon. Very early setup on Saturday morning from 7.30 am by arrangement.

All items must be removed by 4 pm Monday 25th Nov.

Full terms and conditions will be forwarded after selection and must be signed before participation is confirmed.
