Thank you for expressing an interest to help us make Light Night Leeds magical! We really value your support in creating a fun and exciting atmosphere for artists and audiences.

Light Night Leeds is an illuminated multi-arts festival which will be taking over the city centre on 10th & 11th October 2019. 

Whether it’s sharing the latest virtual reality experiences with film fans, joining the neon circus parade, or assisting one-to-one with an artist on their installation, we need you to help us make the night magical.

Festival Shifts

Thursday 10th October 5pm - 11pm

Friday 11th October 5pm - 11pm

Volunteer Roles Available

• Visitor Support - You'll be helping audience members engage with individual artworks on the evening of the festival, providing information,and assisting the venue coordinators in any way necessary. A passion for the arts and excellent customer service skills are a must!
• Photographers/Videographers - These volunteers are key in helping us capture the magic of the night. These roles are limited and you must have experience with a camera!
• Production Assistant - Production control can be a busy hive of activity in the run up to the festival. Production assistants help keep us on the straight and narrow! If you are interested in events management and want to get stuck in with the team, come and get involved.
• Artist Support - Some artists need help installing their artwork before the festival kicks off. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone creative.

* Please note that positions for Photographers, Videographers, Production Assistants and Artist Support volunteers are limited. Until we have more of an understanding in what each artist requires. Everyone is recruited initially as Visitor Support.

Briefings

We will be holding compulsory briefing meetings at Leeds Town Hall. Please attend ONE of the following:

Saturday 28th September: 2pm

Monday 30th September: 6pm
