An ongoing, travelling exhibition space located in the passenger window of a 2005 Honda Accord.

Since purchase in 2021, the passenger window rattles. The only practical solution is to wedge a small piece of paper between the window and door frame.

Naturally, this creates the perfect opportunity for a printed photograph, thus creating the UK's only travelling gallery in a Honda.

Submit up to three photographs from a recent or ongoing project for consideration to be featured in the window space.

Work suited to the exhibition space would likely (but not be limited to) themes which:

  • suit the experimental/absurd nature of the gallery.
  • respond site-specifcally to the car/door/road network.
  • consider journey/distance/connectivity/
  • touch on themes of sustainability/environmental causes.

As the inaugural exhibition, I look forward to submissions with a view to updating the photograph monthly.

While in exhibition, your work will travel 100s of miles across the UK.

Photographs of your work in the window at places it visits, information about the project it comes form and links to your Instagram will be promoted through my existing network on Instagram @joetimothycoleman and the new dedicated platform @rattlingwindow

All work must be submitted digitally which I will print in dialogue with the artist.

There is no fee; there is no payment.

All prints will be retained for potential future exhibitions in relation to the project.

While every attempt will be made to contact past participants in the event of re-exhibition, participation forms consent for this future publication. This will likely occur when the car fails its MOT for the final time.
