Hope - Exhibition Open Call
Deadline: 04/07/2025City: Leeds | Region: West Yorkshire | Country: United Kingdom | Space2 Leeds
Rebecca Solnit wrote on living in dark times: ‘We are living through times of unprecedented change, but in uncertainty lies the power to influence the future. Now is not the time to despair, but to act. Hope is an embrace of the unknown.’ What does hope mean to you? What does it represent? Does it energise you? What makes you feel hopeful?
Do you live in East Leeds and make art? Would you like to share your creations with others?
Space2 is looking for contributions to our upcoming exhibition responding to the theme of ‘Hope.’
Open to all visual artists in East Leeds and Space2 participants.
You don’t have to be a professional artist – if you make art, we’d love to see it and exhibit it.
You are welcome to submit up to 3 pieces.
Our exhibition space can only accept the art that can be hung, so please make sure that your submissions are 2D.
We will try to include as much work as possible.
The creative team at Space2 will review all the submitted work and make decisions on the final exhibition.
We will look at the connection to the theme and where the artist is based.
Space2 is an arts and social change charity based in East Leeds.
We celebrated our 20th anniversary last year.
Our building is part The Old Fire Station community hub.
We have an art workshop space where we run community art groups and have our exhibition space.
Throughout the year, we curate a range of exhibitions and events involving our participants and people from the local area.
We know that there are many people across East Leeds who are brilliant creatives, and we want them to have a space to showcase their work locally.
You must have an account to send a message to the curator of this opportunity. Registering only takes a few moments. Once registered you'll be able to keep track of all of your submissions and get updates on upcoming opportunities.
Already have an account? You must log in to send this curator a message.
