Illustrators + Writers Wanted for Children's Reading App!
Deadline: 15/01/2020City: London | Region: London | Country: United Kingdom | Daisy Griffiths
Paid opportunity
Looking for artists and writers to contribute content for a children's reading app. PAID.
We are an edtech startup developing an app with the aim of aiding children's literacy skills. We're currently building a library of books and would like a good diverse range of titles.
Some info on the app itself:
Young readers will have the chance to choose a book from the virtual bookshop. Using ASR technology, words will light up green when read out loud. When a child is struggling with a word, they can tap it and hear it pronounced clearly.
With regards to illustrations - our budget is currently £200 to £250. Stories are usually between 10 and 15 pages long, with a cover. These can be corner to corner, or spot illustrated. Text is added in-house as this is the tech side of the project, but consideration for this in terms of spacing should be taken into account.
We always have stories waiting to be illustrated which we would send you, but we're also open to any ideas you might have, too.
Please contact me with any questions.
