The first call out in a series of online exhibitions as an initiative to combat these trying times. We are open to all mediums and will be exhibiting the work in a unique and exciting way on our gallery website!

Art has always reflected the voice of people, both in times of celebration and in dire circumstances. Now is no different. We are at a point in time where technological advances are at its peak and it seems necessary to utilise it. We know there are many people, creatives and non-creatives alike that are home either in self-isolation or quarantine.

As a result of this, we think this is an opportune moment to have a series of themed online exhibitions. We will be releasing them onto our gallery page and our team is in the process of designing and bring to life an interesting viewing experience for your work! This is a free initiative for us to share art,  start a conversation and engage the minds of the socially distanced. It is also an opportunity to ponder, create and your work and your creative practice.

Our first open call is based around the theme of ‘In Isolation Together’. We are inspired by the small acts of community that we are seeing all over the world, whether it be people coming to their balconies to sing together, neighbours leaving notes to ask if you need anything or people checking in with others to make sure they are okay. In a crisis, it seems that the solidarity of a community and the kindness we can give each other is the real measure of value.

We are looking for work that highlights this idea of belonging, community and perhaps even documents or brings to light interesting things you have seen during this period of isolation. The question that looms above us all is how do we isolate but not feel isolated. How do we distance and maintain social solidarity? We look for some answers or the start of dialogue towards an answer in your submissions!
