An opportunity to add a 'show' to your artist CV or have your artwork displayed in an 'exhibition' setting, working with an aspiring curator who wants to expand their experience of putting on shows in the setting of their own home and digitizing the exhibition online. Your proposal does not need to respond to setting of my house, you can simply submit an artwork you want to include in an exhibition. The concept and show themes remain loose.

Looking for artists to collaborate with myself for an 'In My House' project. I am not a rich curator with an art gallery, but i'm not going to let that stop me from putting on exhibitions in any space suitable. The exhibitions will exist and be installed in my house, either a singular work or multiple works and i will digitize them and post them online as a formal exhibition. (inspiration from Obrist's kitchen project, utilising space and repurposing it) The work does not need to be site specific to a domestic setting or involve context relative to an inhabited space, but feel free to add any context you wish if space plays an important part in your practise. There will be no physical private view or visitors, it will exist physically yet only be accessible digitally as an archived online show. I will photograph each exhibition and share it online on social media as would a normal exhibtion, and archive them on my website. (I will provide full credit to exhibiting artists as well as include all your social media handles)

You can submit multiple works and put on a 'solo show' if you wish, or you can collaborate with your peers. I will consider all proposals. You can submit one work and i will create a show around one piece also. I will try and accomodate as much as possible in the space. Ideally looking for works that can be emailed to myself (photography, video art, images, texts, sound pieces, intervention projects etc). I can't currently include sculpture at this time unfortunately. I have screens to display video work and a projector. I am happy to accomodate some print work if you want me to display printed images (if the cost isnt extensive). Please submit all your ideas i would love to collaborate.

Who is eligible for this opportunity?
Anyone
When is the deadline?
The deadline is ongoing
How many works can I submit?
As many as you like, although the depending on the exhibition and space restraints I may be selective
When do I need to collect my work?
There will be no need to send physical or original artworks (I will not be providing a postal address or PO box) I will be accepting your artworks digitally via email or other means. Every artwork that is chosen will be displayed digitally, i.e on a screen, projector or speaker or as a physical printed work but there will be no original artwork displayed.
How much does it cost?
You will not need to pay to submit or to be included in an exhibition. I would like to provide an opportunity for artists to display their artwork in a show that I will document and archive online.
Are there payments to artists?
I am unable to pay artists to be in an exhibition. I can cover some costs for printing if you want your artwork to be physically printed (within reason of course).
Is there a private view / opening?
There will be an online 'private view' that I will document and promote on social media and will archive everything on my website but the exhibition will not be publicly accessible and there will be no visitors.
What publicity will be provided as part of the opportunity?
When I advertise the exhibition ( I will design posters and write a press release for each one) I will include all artists social media handles and websites and contact details (if permission is given) when I archive and document each show. I will post regularly on my own instagram and twitter when the exhibitions are running, and will archive each exhibition permanently on my website which I will provide to all participants. Artists are free to use any images I post.
What happens if my proposal is chosen?
I will email you with the contact details you provide
What kind of proposals are you looking for?
Anything and everything!
Who will I be showing with?
Please specify in your proposal if you would be open to exhibiting with other people. You can have a solo show and submit multiple works if you wish but please also specify this. I may pair artworks together if I think they follow a similar theme and would create interesting exhibition together. The scale of each exhibition will vary.
How do I send my work to you?
If you are selected i will provide an email address for you to send your work to in a higher resolution.
What space is there?
The spaces available to exhibit in are; bedroom, bathroom, hallway, living area, dining area, kitchen, garden, garage. Please specify in your proposal if you want your artwork to be located in particular space in this ongoing project. Your proposal does not need to respond to this space specifically either, it can simply exist in it.
When will the exhibition be open/How long will it run?
This will be dependent on the amount of proposals I receive. I will let all participants know when i aim to include their artwork in an exhibition, and i aim to let the shows run monthly. The exhibition turnaround will not be regular or concurrent and will depend solely on the amount of proposals and artworks i receive. I will advertise as i can.
Size restrictions?
Please specify if you have any size requirements for your work/you want it displayed as a certain size or resolution and i will try my best to accommodate within the parameters of the space and the equipment i have.
