Inspired by eccentric IT pioneer Ted Nelson and his dream of work that could 'escape from the confines of paper into the multidimensional', this virtual exhibition is delivered by the collective imaginings of analogue artists.

In this playful and experimental virtual show, artists who chiefly work with non-tech mediums and processes imagine how their work might ‘escape from paper’ and a cacophony of ideas is brought together into one collective fever dream, where paper artists tackle the possibilities of the digital screen.

As an analogue artist, how do you want to see this work 'escape from paper'? Does it move, grow, change, sing, mutate. Does it require its own space or does it interact with the work of others? How visible is it, and to who, and when. Do you hate virtual shows and long to break them? The possibilities of re-presenting your work on the screen are endless so get in touch with your images and ideas.

Into the Multidimensional will be exhibited as a pavilion during The Wrong Biennale (thewrong.org), taking place online from November 1, 2023 to March 1, 2024. This project is organised by Thaïs Lenkiewicz and Sam Machell.
