Hello there - I'm Jo McLaughlin, art historian, curator and host of Jo's Art History Podcast. Thanks for checking out my open call! I’m back on the search for new guests for Season Three of Jo’s Art History Podcast!

The podcast aims to break down the elitism which surrounds the subject of art history by having relaxed conversations about art and the art world. No topic is off-limits.

The point of the podcast is to show people the diversity and scope of what falls under the term 'art history'.

Do you have a favourite artist / artwork / building / piece of jewellery / designer that you LOVE and feel confident about discussing it with me? Then I would love to hear from you! Best part? You do not need to be an expert on your topic. I believe if you are passionate about something, you are going to be good at talking about it.

The podcast is available to stream on iTunes, Spotify, google podcasts, youtube, amazon music and more so please check the podcast out on one of those platforms if you want to see the kind of topics people have discussed before!

When is the deadline?
The beginning of October for ideas - the recording can happen later in the year however if needed.
How many works can I submit?
Ideally one - but if you have a few ideas - let me know :)
When is the delivery date?
Various - the podcast is released weekly. Season 3 will be c.15 episodes.
How much does it cost?
I'll need an hour of your time maximum.
Are there payments to artists?
Sadly, no
What publicity will be provided as part of the opportunity?
It's published online - I've had over 25,000 streams so far.
Do I need to be present?
We record remotely via zoom.
What kind of proposals are you looking for?
Just a rough idea to begin with.
