Here at The Lemonade Press we offer artist residencies for visiting artists. These are designed for artists who require studio access for a specific project or to spend time exploring ideas within the lithographic medium.

There are a few ways that artists can approach their residency:

Resident artists can use their time in the studio as a collaboration with a printer to make editions of lithographs. Utilising the expertise of the printer to handle all the techincial concerns of lithography whilst the artist can focus on the realisation of their concept. Guidance and advice are given on all technical aspects of the proposal including drawing materials, papers and inks.

-OR-

Artists who would like to learn or refresh their skill in lithography can use their residency to learn new techniques to broaden ther own knowledge of the process. The residency can be spent learning the process guided by the printer.

-OR-

If an artist requires some technical tuition but it otherwise independent in making lithographs, they can use the residency as time and space to make new work with no or minimal guidance from the printer/s. An induction into the studio is required before an artist will be allowed to work independently.
