This is an exciting opportunity for Yorkshire based or born artists to exhibit within a vibrant Central Leeds location overlooking the river. In partnership with Left Bank, Canal Connections CIC are inviting artists to participate in a unique art exhibition at their newly renovated home at Leeds Dock.

Canal Connections is an exciting non-profit organisation, exploring opportunities for social engagement, along the waterways of Leeds and surrounding areas. Led by the engagement of individuals, families, communities and local businesses, Canal Connections works to inspire interest in the built and natural heritage of the Aire & Calder waterways through engagement on their canal boats and creative projects. Supported by Left Bank, a popular arts and cultural organisation based in Hyde Park, LS6, this exhibition aims to re-ignite memories and celebrate our personal history with the waterways.

We are seeking artwork that explores and shares unique perspectives, memories and reflections associated with these historic waterways of the Aire & Calder, and the Leeds & Liverpool Canal. We will be considering all artistic mediums for this exhibition, both 2D and 3D pieces. Due to the nature of the space, we will be able to accept more 2D work than 3D. Artists are welcome to submit more than one piece of work for consideration.

This exhibition is FREE to enter, however as a charity operating on a tight budget, we will be unable to assist with the cost of transportation of artworks to and from the gallery, or the cost of framing any of the artworks. All artists will have the opportunity to sell their artworks during the exhibition. There will be an opening event and daily viewings.
