Outstanding Art Limited are delighted to be taking submissions for the opening night and first month-long exhibition of their new commercial gallery opening in Durham City Centre March 2019.

We at Outstanding Art pride ourselves on only sourcing original artworks by outstanding artists from across the world.

With the opening of a new contemporary commercial gallery, located in Durham City centre in March 2019. We are delighted to offer the opportunity to work with emerging and established artists worldwide. The opening night will be followed by a month-long exhibition in the gallery. This will be an amazing opportunity for artists to display their work and to establish a further collectors base.

Works - We are accepting submissions for all types of paintings, drawings, sculpture, and installations. These must be available for sale through the gallery and be valued upwards of £1000. Please apply with each work individually. 

If selected - Works are required to be delivered for installation, one week before the start of the exhibition (28 March 2019 – 28 April 2019). The curator will be in touch with regards to this.

As many as required.

When do I need to collect my work?
The Gallery will endeavour to return all works to artists free of charge if not sold.
How much does it cost?
Submissions are free for all artists.
Are there payments to artists?
If selected and sold. The typical gallery commission rate of 50% of the total sale value (inc V.A.T) of the work will be applied. Contractual agreement between the gallery and artist will be signed by both parties in good time.
Is there a private view / opening?
Yes, selected artists will be invited to attend the private view and opening night. The gallery may request further artist talks on works. This will be arranged direct with the artist on a case by case basis.
What are the exhibition opening hours?
10:00 - 18:00 28 March - 28 April 2019.
What publicity will be provided as part of the opportunity?
Artists will have works displayed in the exhibition. The will also receive website space and local and international advertising. Selected artists may then be invited to be represented by the gallery and also have their works displayed in future exhibitions and art fairs.
Do I need to be present?
Artists will be invited to attend the opening night and may be invited to provide artist talks on works.
What happens if my proposal is chosen?
Successful or not the gallery will contact the artist with feedback.
