Collect Art is pleased to announce our international open call dedicated exclusively to Oil Painting and Oil on Paper. From the luminous glazes of the Northern Renaissance and the dramatic chiaroscuro of the Baroque era to the bold, expressive brushwork of Impressionism and modern abstraction, oil painting stands as one of the most transformative mediums in art history. For centuries, it has offered artists unrivalled depth, richness of color, and versatility, allowing them to capture both the subtle textures of reality and the boundless landscapes of human imagination.

Open to visual artists worldwide, aged 18 and above, working in oil paintings.

There is no theme for this edition.

With this open call, we invite contemporary artists from around the globe to explore the expressive potential of this timeless, historical medium and show how it continues to evolve today.

Whether your approach is rooted in classical realism, experimental abstraction,  figurative narrative, or mixed techniques, we want to see how you harness the power of oil.

Each participant will receive a 2-6 page spread in print and digital magazines including a biography, statement, interview, QR code linked to their website and/or social media, and 2-10 featured artworks.

All participants will receive a complimentary digital issue of the magazine, which will be promoted on our website/social media. In addition, you will receive the link for ordering the printed magazine.
