Collect Art is thrilled to announce a new international open call, inviting artists to explore the radical power of limitation: ONE COLOUR CHALLENGE.

What happens when you strip away the rainbow? When an entire world has to live inside a single hue? 

For this edition, we invite artists to submit artworks using only one colour and its shades, tints, and tones.

No full palette. No compromise. One colour is never just one colour.  It is a memory, a temperature, a political statement, a cultural code. It can be violent or tender, sacred or toxic, nostalgic or futuristic.

Restricting yourself to a single chromatic field forces you to see differently — to find depth in monochrome, emotion in nuance, and infinity in a limit. We want to see how far you can push it.

Open to visual artists worldwide, aged 18 and above, working in various media, including painting, drawing, collage, installation, illustration, photography, sculpture, ceramics, textiles,  assemblage, fibre art, paper art, printmaking, 3D digital art, glass art, metalwork, and more.

Whether your work is minimalist or maximalist, abstract or figurative, quiet or loud — if it lives and breathes in one colour, we want to see it.

A note on the challenge:

Each submitted artwork must be created using only one colour and its variations in shade, tint and tone.

Achromatic colours (black, white, grey) can be used for mixing within your chosen colour, but should not dominate.

For photography and digital art,  this includes duotone/monochrome grading in a single hue.

Each selected artist will receive a 2-6 page spread in print and digital magazines, including a biography, statement, interview, website, and 2-10 featured artworks.

All published artists will receive a complimentary digital issue of the magazine, which will be promoted on our website/social media. In addition, you will receive the link for ordering the printed magazine

Moreover, the curatorial team will select a few exceptional artists for inclusion in their upcoming book edition titled '101 Contemporary Artists and More...'

Requirements for the submission:

Up to 12 photos, details of the work (title, medium, size, year), brief biography, artist statement (min 100 words each), website, and social media links.

The participation fee is 25 EUR (in case of acceptance)

• 1 dedicated post on the ‘NEWS’ page of our website
• 2 to 5 individual posts on Facebook and Instagram
• An announcement post featuring the magazine cover and the names of all published artists
• 3 group posts on Facebook and Instagram, each including one artwork from every featured artist
• Email outreach to our network of artists, gallerists, collectors, readers, and art professionals.

• More than 150 printed copies sold per edition
• Each edition is now showcased at our newly opened Art Gallery in Tbilisi, Georgia, and is also featured in exhibitions and art events.
• To date, we have published 121Seasonal and Special Editions of our magazine, featuring over 2,000 artists from around the world.

Further Opportunities:

Our curatorial team will also select several outstanding artists for inclusion in the upcoming book edition titled “101 Contemporary Artists and More…”. Selection is based on the overall vision for the book and available space.

However, we aim to feature as many artists as possible from our previous magazine editions.

Additionally, with each edition, our curators highlight a select group of artists for future exhibitions at our new 170 sq. m professionally curated art gallery in the prestigious centre of Tbilisi, Georgia.

The gallery is dedicated to modern and contemporary art, providing a powerful platform for international exposure, including painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, ceramics, textile, installation, New media, mixed media works, etc.
