The Fake News Oracle is an open exhibition in newspaper format that will be covertly distributed across various locations and events in the UK launching in May 2019.

Existing as commentary on the vast emergence of fake news that is imbedded in our culture; The Fake News Oracle manipulates the look and feel of a typical tabloid newspaper making us question what is real.

Celebrating sloppy reporting, obverse propaganda and bias articles, The Fake News Oracle delivers humour to its readers by specifically offering nothing but lies.

Don’t believe the hype of politicians and the media…BELIEVE IN THE FAKE NEWS ORACLE!

All fake submissions welcome across the following sections:

• Games – cross word, mazes etc
• Sports
• Advertisements
• Classified Ads / For Sale posts
• Job listings
• Obituaries

What do I submit?

• Chosen artwork (text, graphics etc)
• Information about artwork
• Brief artist statement

Successful submissions will be curated and printed as a real life newspaper! 

Please Note:

All mediums welcome.

Video works will be printed in QR code format this must be supplied by the artist if applicable.

By submitting works to this project you are giving permission for your work to be printed and distributed in the form of a newspaper. Submitted pieces may also be featured online and included in future publications.

Locations of distribution will be disclosed to all successful participating artists closer to the time.

Submissions will be vetted to ensure top quality fakery and surrealism…
