BLANK is a thematic biannual publication exploring issues pertinent to contemporary creative culture. We’re looking for contributors to add to debates around making work in the current climate. The publication is a mixture of open submissions and invited contributors, which encompass the full spectrum of creative disciplines, from visual and performing arts, to film and computer game design.

BLANK 01 is open for submissions around the theme of ‘skuhlp-cher’, responding to Yorkshire Sculpture International 2019, the UK’s largest dedicated sculpture festival. This edition of BLANK is being edited with INDEX; the YSI fringe programme to respond to sculpture in its various forms and contexts.

BLANK welcomes submissions of both creative projects and written responses to the theme of ‘skuhlp-cher’

The launch of BLANK 01 publication will coincide with a closing party of INDEX and the launch of University Centre Leeds’ new gallery, BLANK, on Thursday 19 September 2019.
