OPEN CALL FOR ART: BLACK & WHITE

Open to interpretation, the theme BLACK & WHITE  can be understood or explored in different ways, depending on the perspective of the artist.

This open call is for artists working in all mediums of 2D and 3D artwork, from paintings, drawings, sculptures, and photography, including live performance, digital and video.

Basking in the essence of black and white, the art exhibition will focus on the primacy of highlights and shadows, the achromatic shades of grey, the dramatization of composition, contrast, and texture.

Fox Yard Studio aims at supporting deserving artists of all art forms and at all stages of their career.  We celebrate our artists across our media, exhibiting their skill in our gallery and online.

Our focus is to sponsor a platform of artists to promote collaboration and to enrich cultural learning and understanding across the Arts. We also bring practitioners together to further their discipline to institutional validation and to offer professional opportunities.

Please make sure that you have read through the submission's guidelines and rules properly before submitting your work.

Wall work must not exceed 60cm x 80cm (to include any mount/frame).

ABOUT:

Our art gallery provides a unique and inspiring space for artists to showcase their work. Located in a historic building dating back to the 16th century, we are committed to fostering a vibrant arts community.

We form part of the Design Quarter of Stowmarket, which includes the Modece Architects, the arts bar  Pallet and the artist studios The Artspace. These creative spaces are all integral components of the Old Fox Yard and the social life of Stowmarket.

GOALS:

Fox Yard Studio aims to be a centre for creativity and innovation. Now more than ever there is a huge need for community involvement and self expression.

With mental health issues at the forefront, a space needs to be created to bring people together and help each other realise our highest potential as individuals and as a community.
