How do you use colour in your practice, is it subtle, clashing, tonal, patterned or the way that you connect to the world?

We thought we would start the year with a bang of positivity and expression and see how you use colour in your work. The theme is very open with the only restrictions being size of the work if you want to be included in the physical show. If you want to be entered only for the on-line then please state this in your entry.

The call is for work created on postcards ...  A6 (148mm x 105mm). We will select the best to be featured on our instagram page @haus_a_rest.com, on our web page www.haus-a-rest.com and across social media AND create a physical show in Berkshire and Yorkshire which we will feature in the zine and on our social media (venues to be confirmed).

If you are selected you can choose to be in the online and the physical show. You will need to post your work to us and provide a self address envelope for it's return and will be responsible for ensuring you have the correct postage and envelope. You will be responsible for the insurance of your work.

Your submission should be a be an exploration and response to this and part of your current practice and dialogue. (NO COVID RELATED WORK)

You will need to submit:

1) A good quality image of your work  - up to two images (please do not send us thumbnail images).

2) Three lines of text to explain your concept,  why you made the piece and any obstacles you had to overcome.

3) Your Instagram name so we can tag you.

4) Do you want to join our mailing list - Y / N?

5)  Is your work a postcard piece that you want to be included in the physical show? Y / N

6) You agree the work will only be returned if you provide the SAE - Y/N

Your work will not be accepted if you do not provide the requested items. If accepted your work will be featured in the Zine, Instagram and FB for a least one month, and very likely for several. We do not guarantee to keep your work listed after the issue has ended.
