Are you sick of capitalism? Are you bored of consumerism? Have you considered that maybe communism isn't the answer? Do you think the old model of left and right is no longer working? Are you just sickle of it all?

Our corporate overlords want us to be indistinguishable meat cogs in their system. Bio-parts that can be swopped out and replaced as long as the machine keeps running, the regime stays stable and the capital keeps flowing to the top.

They want us to be atomised units, floating data points, who are rootless, belong nowhere and believe in nothing. They view us as cattle, to think the same, to consume the same, to be the same. Whilst selling us an inauthentic individualism that makes us believe we are unique and special because of the products we choose to buy.

We are hoping to host an exhibition that responds to the above concerns and communicates a sense of disillusionment with the postmodern world we find ourselves in and offers a critique of the neoliberal order we are all ruled by. We would like to receive a variety of work ranging from the lightly humorous to the deadly serious, as long as they demonstrate a levity and deft touch.  We are particularly looking for satire, irony and all forms of humour. Although all works, in all mediums will be considered (including performance and film/video).

We have secured 147, a white cube space situated on Stoke Newington High Street. Uncovered is a not-for-profit organisation and as with all our exhibitions the cost of the show will be split amongst the participating artists. If accepted each artist will contribute £100.

Exhibition opening times - Friday 25th to Sunday 27th November, 10.00 to 18.00.

Private view - Thursday 24th November, 18.00 to 22.00.

All artwork is requried to be delivered Wednesday 23rd November between 10.00 and 12,00 and collected Sunday 27th between  18.30 and 19.30.
