TRANSIENT: Open call for OCTOBER Online Residencies for creatives exploring ART & TECHNOLOGY!!
Deadline: 30/09/2020 | Published: 30/06/2020 | Lydia Griffiths
@t.ransienttt is an online residency programme via Instagram supporting creatives who explore the relationship between Art & Technology. Residencies can consist of whatever the creative desires. Whether that's sharing old or new projects, sharing concepts / theories or telling us about your practice, it's really up to you!
The purpose of this virtual environment is to give creatives the opportunity to connect with fellow creatives from all over the world, with the aim of bringing inspiration and conversation into their homes. So far, we've had creatives taking part in the programme from.. Indonesia, England, Finland, Scotland, Germany, Israel and many more.
After submission, you will be told of your acceptance & residency date within 1 week. If we feel your submission does not fit with what we are trying to achieve on the page, we are able to decline your submission.
Each residency will last 5 days, from Monday - Friday, with creatives being able to post a maximum of 2 posts a day on the main page, but of course can use the story too. Each creative will be sent the Instagram account details the weekend before their residency is due to start.
As well as the Instagram account a website is currently being made for Transient. Residents will be asked if they would like one piece of work from their residency alongside an artist statement and description of the piece on the website. This makes it easier for people to access creatives works / links to websites / instagram accounts etc rather than scrolling through the Instagram page.
To apply, submit 5 examples of your work, a maximum 200 word artist statement (which if accepted, will be used on the page) and a brief description of what you plan to do on your Instagram Residency. Please indicate what date you would prefer within your submission.
AVAILABLE OCTOBER DATES:
12th – 16th
19th – 23rd
26th – 30th
