The new Herne Hill Art Fair showcases 26 artists each weekend, welcoming artists from beyond the Dulwich area — across painting, print, ceramics, illustration and more. We’re excited to be part of Dulwich Artists’ Open House this May!

Herne Hill Art Fair invites artists to exhibit and sell work as part of the Dulwich Artists’ Open House art trail.

The fair takes place in Station Hall, Herne Hill, located directly above the station and serving as one of the main hubs on the trail, taking place over two weekends in May, the fair marks the first event of its kind in Herne Hill.

Fair Dates:

8–10 and 15–17 May 2026

Private view/opening receptions will take place on Friday 8 & 15 May (6–9pm). 

Fee:

£350 per weekend, choose your preferred weekend

Exhibition Stand: 2 metre wide x 2 metre high

Deadline: 21 January 2026

Artist setup is on Fridays 12:30–5 pm, ready for the evening opening. 

Onsite storage is available in a secure area access only by keypad lock.

Benefits

The fair attracts an estimated 300+ visitors per day and benefits from additional footfall from the nearby Herne Hill Sunday Market on Railton Road, which draws approximately 1,000 visitors per hour.

Artists will have the opportunity to sell work directly to the public, engage with visitors, and retain 100% of sales (zero commission).

Selected artists will receive extensive promotion across social media, including features on the Herne Hill Art Fair Curator Instagram (13.5k followers) and sharing by Dulwich Artists’ Open House (9.5k followers).

  • Artists will also be listed in the official DAOH brochure with a 37,000 print run.
  • Each artist will receive an individual Instagram and Facebook feature, including images of their work and a short Q&A.
  • The marketing campaign includes social media advertising, flyers, posters, neighbourhood flyer drops, and physical banners placed around Herne Hill Station, in the station tunnel, on boards, and outside Station Hall.
  • Selected artists will also receive a 20% discount code from print partner Ripe Digital.

Who is eligible for this opportunity?
Open to artists at any stage in their career.

Do I need to live in the Herne Hill/Dulwich area?
No we're inviting artists from anywhere in the UK.
What size is the stand?
2 metres wide x 2 metres high.
Is there a commission on sales?
No. You will need to take your own sales and you keep 100%.
How much does it cost to take part?
£350 per weekend. This covers the stand cost, Dulwich artist open house registration fee, listing in the brochure and marketing/advertising.
What are the art fair dates?
8-10 & 15-17 May. You can choose to do both weekends or one weekend.
Is there a private view / opening?
Yes the private view will be on Friday 8 & 15 May 6-9 pm,
What are the art fair opening hours?
11-6 pm on the weekend,
Does the location have disabled access?
No. Access to Station Hall is via an external stairwell.
What publicity will be provided as part of the opportunity?
Each artist will be listed in the Dulwich Artists' Open House Brochure, Herne Hill Art Fair will feature each artist on their social accounts, advertising, marketing in local newspapers, flyers, and posters.
Do I need to be present?
Yes each artist will need to be available the duration of the fair.
