Call out for artist-researchers to show in Wrexham's newest, exciting and unique exhibition space. The Dispensary is a research led art gallery in Wrexham. Its dynamic programme of exhibitions and events brings together local, national and international artists-researchers providing both a supportive hub and a space to display their work.

Situated in The School of Creative Arts, The Dispensary announces a call out aimed at artist-researcher to exhibit their work in a unique display space. Built in 1837as an infirmary, the School of Creative Arts building still contains many of the original fixtures and architecture features. This includes a dispensary/reception counter in the front reception area of the building which is now a new and exciting art space for Wrexham. The dimensions of the space are 2900mm (L) x 600mm (W) x 1400mm (H).

There are four shows a year that link into the schools DOTDOTDASH events. We welcome proposals from artist-researchers working in a broad area of media.

There is a small fee of £25 to cover the costs, but we will produce related media material and an opening event.

Proposals will be reviewed by The Dispensary curating committee.

This call out is aimed at artist-researchers.

There is no deadline as The Dispensary is a rolling programme of exhibitions that are synchronized with the DOTDOTDASH evening event (5pm-8pm) that happens three times a year at the School of Creative Arts. These are usually early December, mid-February and April.

The curatorial committee are looking for ideas for displaying of works that are sensitive to the unusual exhibition space.
