The SMALL WORKS Exhibition coming up in December is our first group show presenting new, small and affordable pieces in our gallery. The exhibition will be on view over the festive period until the beginning of January 2025.
This greatly anticipated exhibition will include a diverse display including photography, painting, drawing, sculpture, mixed media and digital works. It will invite viewers to reconsider how scale matters and shapes the way someone experiences art.
There is no specific theme. Each piece will be 30cm x 30cm or under, including the mount/frame.
The exhibition will run from 13th December 2024 to 3rd January 2025.
Private view: Friday 13th December, 6-8pm.
A contemporary art gallery based in Stowmarket, Fox Yard Studio shows ambitious, diverse works by established and emerging artists across all disciplines from the UK and abroad. Our studio hosts a changing programme of exhibitions, events and educational projects.
We also offer creative art classes and skills training, reflecting our commitment to art and community growth.
Dates:
Application submission deadline for "Small Works": 28th November 2024, 11.59pm.
Announcement: By 29th November, notification by email
Exhibition dates: 13th December 2024 - 3rd January 2025
Please ensure you have read through the submission's guidelines and rules properly before submitting your work.
Size:
Wall work must not exceed 30cm x 30cm (to include any mount/frame).
The same size applies to 3D work; it should have a maximum footprint of 30cm x 30cm x 30cm.
Images:
You can submit up to 10 images, max 4MB each, for consideration.
Successful artists are welcome to send their work by post. If artists cannot collect unsold works after the show has ended, we can return your works to you by post or courier.
Acceptance into the exhibition:
Successful applicants will be notified by email.
Artists are responsible for delivering or shipping their works to us by using reliable couriers to ensure timely delivery.
Costs:
- £20 per selected work.
- As well as having a physical presence, artworks will be featured online.
Who:
Artists at all levels. All mediums are welcome.
Applicants are not required to be local. All works are to be presentable, framed (if applicable) and delivered under the responsibility of each selected artist by the given deadlines.

- We offer you a platform to showcase, promote and sell your artworks via our art gallery and our Instagram via Art Magnitude.
- Submitting your work is free of charge.
- There is a 15% commission on sales.

Located in a historic building dating back to the 16th century, we are committed to fostering a vibrant arts community, and we aim to develop opportunities for creative professionals and to mutually support independent practice.
We form part of the Design Quarter of Stowmarket, which includes the Modece Architects, the arts bar Pallet and the artist studios The Artspace. These creative spaces are all integral components of the Old Fox Yard and the social life of Stowmarket.
