Parler l'Amour (Speaking Love) The Wrong Gallery Birmingham 16 - 19 October 2025. We are seeking a Midlands-based sound installation artist to join the team of artists contributing to Parler L’Amour, an immersive, multi-sensory, exhibition opening this October over the multi-floors of The Wrong Gallery.

The show explores love as a site of projection, rupture, and resistance — not sentimentality.

We are specifically looking for a sound artist to create original work for two key spaces: the cellar, which delves into the underworld of love, and the loft, transformed into a chapel-like installation.

These contrasting environments offer rich scope for sonic experimentation — from intimate, unsettling atmospheres to more transcendent or meditative tones.

Your contribution will be essential in shaping the emotional landscape of the exhibition.

The Wrong Gallery is an artist-led exhibition space set in a large Victorian house in Birmingham.

Each show transforms the building into an immersive, multi-sensory installation.

Non-commercial and emotionally charged, the gallery prioritises artistic risk, narrative depth, and critical dialogue beyond traditional white-cube conventions.
