PickArt invites emerging and independent artists to explore new ways of exhibiting and selling their work. Through our curated Consignment programme and artist-led Indie platform, we support artists in reaching new audiences, showcasing their practice and making art more accessible beyond traditional gallery settings.

PickArt is an art platform connecting artists, spaces and audiences, creating new opportunities for original artworks to be discovered, exhibited and purchased.

We're inviting emerging and independent artists to express interest in two programmes designed to support different stages of their creative practice.

PickArt Consignment | Curated Art Placements
Our Consignment programme connects artists with potential exhibition and sales opportunities in hospitality venues, hotels, workplaces and other public-facing spaces.

We curate collections in response to each venue's identity, audience and requirements, introducing original artworks to new audiences and potential collectors.

-No upfront fee to join or submit work for consideration.
- Artists retain ownership of their artworks until sold.
- Artists receive 60% of the sale price, with the remaining 40% shared between PickArt and the hosting venue.
- PickArt manages curation, venue relationships and sales infrastructure.

*Artwork placements are subject to selection and venue suitability, and cannot be guaranteed.

PickArt Indie | Artist-Led Exhibitions and Sales
Indie is designed for artists organising their own exhibitions, degree shows, open studios, pop-ups or other displays.

The platform provides artists with digital artwork listings, QR codes and an integrated checkout system, making it easier to showcase and sell their work without needing to build a website, manage complicated payment systems or have any technical expertise. Artists can create an accessible online presence for their work and connect potential buyers directly with individual artworks, whether online or in person.

-No PickArt commission for the first year, excluding payment processing fees.
- Artists maintain control over their own exhibitions and sales activity.
- No exclusivity required.
- Suitable for independent exhibitions, graduate shows, art fairs and other artist-led initiatives.

*Indie does not provide exhibition venues or guarantee sales.

Who We're Looking For
We welcome expressions of interest from artists working across a range of visual art practices, particularly those interested in finding new ways to present, share and sell their work.

*Artists can express interest in either programme or both.

How to Apply
Submit your portfolio through this opportunity, including examples of your work, a short introduction to your practice and an indication of which programme interests you.

What happens next?
*Our team will review submissions and follow up with relevant information based on your chosen programme.

Consignment: Submissions will be reviewed by our curatorial team, who will contact suitable artists regarding potential venue opportunities and next steps. Participation is subject to curatorial selection, artwork suitability and venue availability. Placement is not guaranteed.

Indie: Artists interested in Indie will receive guidance on getting started, including how to upload their artworks, create listings and generate QR codes to support independent sales.

Who is eligible for this opportunity?
Emerging and independent visual artists interested in either curated placements or managing sales through their own exhibitions. Geographic and medium-specific eligibility should be confirmed before publication.

Consignment
PickArt currently operates in the United Kingdom and Switzerland, and we particularly welcome submissions from artists based in these regions. As we continue to grow, we're also interested in connecting with artists internationally. Submissions from outside our current operating regions may be considered on a case-by-case basis, depending on artwork suitability, logistics and potential venue opportunities.

Indie
PickArt Indie is available to artists across a wide range of locations, subject to platform and payment processing availability. The programme supports original physical artworks, including painting, photography, sculpture and other eligible mediums. Artists manage their own display arrangements and delivery.

Not sure if your location or medium is suitable? We encourage you to get in touch to discuss your work and the most appropriate programme.
When is the deadline?
This is an ongoing opportunity, with submissions reviewed on a rolling basis. Artists may be contacted as applications are received and will not need to wait until the advertised deadline to hear from us.

To meet CuratorSpace's listing requirements, our initial submission deadline and review date is April 2027. However, applications will continue to be considered throughout the listing period.
How many works can I submit?
Artists can submit a portfolio representing their practice. We recommend including a selection of relevant available works.
When is the delivery date?
There is no fixed delivery date. Consignment delivery arrangements are confirmed if a suitable placement is agreed. Indie artists organise their own exhibitions and logistics.
When do I need to collect my work?
There is no fixed collection date. This depends on the individual placement or artist-led exhibition.
How much does it cost?
There is no upfront fee to apply or join Consignment. Artists receive 60% of completed artwork sales. Indie currently offers 0% PickArt commission for the first year, excluding payment processing fees.
Are there payments to artists?
Artists receive income from completed artwork sales. Neither programme provides a guaranteed artist fee.
Is there a private view / opening?
There is no single scheduled exhibition or opening. Events may be organised around individual placements or independently by artists using Indie.
What are the exhibition opening hours?
These depend on the hosting venue or artist-organised event.
Does the location have disabled access?
Accessibility varies by venue and can be confirmed for individual placements or exhibitions.
What publicity will be provided as part of the opportunity?
PickArt provides artists with an online presence through our platform. Works listed through Indie are publicly discoverable on the PickArt website, while Consignment artworks become publicly visible once placed in a venue.

Placed works also benefit from visibility through our interactive venue map, helping visitors discover art in physical spaces. PickArt may additionally feature selected artists and placements across our social channels and Reading Room, although dedicated promotional features are not guaranteed. Indie artists are encouraged to share and promote their own listings and exhibitions to reach wider audiences.
Do I need to be present?
Not generally for Consignment placements. Indie artists manage their own event arrangements.
Where will my venue be listed?
Once a Consignment or Indie placement is live, the hosting venue and its artworks can be discovered through PickArt's interactive venue map, allowing visitors to explore participating spaces and the art on display. Indie artists also manage their own catalogue visibility, with their artwork listings publicly discoverable through the PickArt platform.
How do you decide on proposals?
Consignment submissions are reviewed for artistic quality, presentation, suitability for public-facing spaces and compatibility with potential venue requirements. Indie is a self-managed sales tool rather than a curated venue placement programme.
What happens if my proposal is chosen?
We'll contact you with relevant next steps, which may include setting up your PickArt account, uploading available artworks or discussing potential placement opportunities.
What kind of proposals are you looking for?
We welcome portfolios from visual artists with original works suitable for display or sale, including artists at different stages of their careers.
What are the selection criteria?
Consignment considers artistic quality, originality, presentation, readiness for display and venue suitability. Indie does not involve the same curatorial placement selection process.
