The first issue, Brine, will surround the theme of raw, sweet and sour emotions. All types of subjects are welcome. Don't be scared!

We welcome all visual artists and writers to send in work.

Don't be scared to be honest; we welcome all authentic and true ways of self-expression.

If you’re an artist or writer, submit now. Know someone with something to say?

Submissions are open until 13th February 2026. Plenty of time to create and send 💚

Pickled is open for submissions for roughly ten weeks. It is free to submit to Pickled.

The submission window for Issue #1 is 1st December 2025 - 13th February 2026.

We welcome simultaneous submissions (i.e. work you have also sent elsewhere).

Pickled is a very small magazine. We hope to begin offering payments to writers and artists in later issues.

Artists will be credited, of course!

This can be done whichever way they would like to.

This detail can be discussed if your work is successful.

There will be a couple of featured artists and interviews.

We are marketing this magazine through Instagram and through posters (soon).

Niche is our speciality.

The magazine will be accessed by print only.

We plan on making 50 copies for the first print run of the issue.

If the work is in demand, more will be printed.

This magazine will be pitched to most independent print stores in the north, as that is where we are based.
