Private View is an interview blog founded by artist Damaris Athene, focusing solely on female artists.

We are interested in discovering new female artists outside of our current networks. We are especially interested in those who identify as BIPOC, LGBTQ+ or disabled. 

This opportunity is open to all female artists, over the age of 18, based anywhere in the world. 

Interviews will be conducted by our founder on Skype or Zoom, taking approximately 1hr. Interview questions will be sent to you in advance of this so that you can prepare. Your interview will then be transcribed and uploaded onto Private View with accompanying photos. You will need to provide the photos as the interviews will be conducted remotely. You will be able to check over the text before it is published.

It's completely FREE to take part and to submit.
Are there payments to artists?
Unfortunately we're unable to offer any payments to artists. We do not make any money from the interviews and are giving you our time for free.
What publicity will be provided as part of the opportunity?
Your interview will be publicised via Instagram and via Damaris Athene's newsletter. We ask that you publicise it through your channels as well.
How do you decide on proposals?
We decide on proposals based on the artwork you submit. Does it speak to us? If so, you're in! We do not make decisions based on how much you've exhibited or where you studied.
What happens if my proposal is chosen?
We will get in touch with you to schedule a time to meet online.
