Callout for artist/activists to submit visual art or creative writing for the chance to be featured in a collaborative zine.

Do you make work about protest in any form?  Whether it's environmental, political, ethical, economic, social and historical issues or civil and human rights, we're looking for visual artists or creative writers to submit their work.

We are looking for submissions towards our collaborative zine 'Protest for Change ', which will be launched at our upcoming exhibition under the same name at North Bar, 24 New Briggate, Leeds.  

We welcome all visual artists and writers, both individuals and collectives.

Ideas for submissions: anti-racism, queer/trans rights, climate change, anti-war, cost of living, immigration - to name a few!

You can submit up to 5 seperate pieces of work - please ensure you provide us with images/word docs/pdfs of your work and confirm you have high quality images (300dpi) to email to us at a later date for the zine itself.

You must be based in Yorkshire as this is where the collective is based. We cannot post zines outside of the UK.

Ideally, you would be able to attend the opening night of the exhibition (Saturday 10th October) to collect your copy of the zine.

We will be exhibiting and selling copies of the zine on the night as well as exhibited/shop work on behalf of the exhibitors too (callout for exhibitors coming soon - stay tuned if you are interested in this!)

Unfortunately, we are unable to pay artists/writers for their contributions due to budget limitations, but we will credit your work in the zine and provide successful submitters with a copy of the zine. We can post should you be unable to make the opening evening.

Submissions are open until Friday 18th September at midnight.

Studio Greenly is a planet-friendly collective of freelancers who work within the fields of illustration and design. We host local events in the Leeds/Bradford area and have been around for over 3 years, beginning in 2023. We work with a huge variety of creatives and aim to be inclusive of all practitioners.

Our events are designed to be as sustainable, affordable and accessible as they can be. We accommodate different incomes through our tickets, table deposits and commission from sales.
