Redcar Palace would like to meet artists who are looking to show their work in our gallery space. We are offering 2 exhibition slots for solo or group proposals.

We had such a wonderful response to our last open call in Spring 2023 that we are delighted to be creating another call out.

We are not expecting artists to create new work for this exhibition, rather we are excited to see examples of work that exemplify your practice.

If you do want to create new works then please bear in mind that the artist fee is there to cover travel and your time to install.

We are interested in seeing examples of all media, please be aware that you will need to install the works yourself, and artist fees are to cover travel and expenses.

Redcar Palace is based in the North East of England and has train access from Middlesbrough, York, Leeds and Manchester.

There is no fee to submit and each chosen artist will receive a fee of £500 inclusive of travel and expenses.

We would be happy to see works from collectives/groups, however, the £500 artist fee is to cover the whole project rather than each individual.

We recognise that we won't be able to facilitate all exhibition proposals that we receive, but we see this call out as a way of creating a new network of artists to work with in the future.

Dates are:

Delivery and installation of works between Thursday 2nd November and Thursday 9th November 2023

Private view Friday 10th November 2023 6 pm - 8 pm

The work needs to be taken down in January 2024
