SALTAIRE FINE ART FAIR 2026 29 November 2026 · Victoria Hall, Saltaire, West Yorkshire

About Saltaire Fine Art Fair

Saltaire Fine Art Fair is a new, aspirational initiative bringing ambitious emerging and established artists together in one of Saltaire’s most distinctive cultural settings.

Curated by Nina Hunter, the one-day fair is open to artists from across the UK, with no prescribed theme or geographical restriction.

Drawing on the tradition established by the former Saltaire Art Gallery, the fair seeks to present distinctive and considered practices across painting, drawing and sculpture.

The selection will encompass a broad range of contemporary approaches, united by the quality, individuality and ambition of the work.

The fair forms part of a wider programme of activity taking place in Saltaire over the weekend, bringing together artists, collectors, art lovers and visitors from across the region and beyond.

The Setting

Saltaire Fine Art Fair will take place across two venues: Victoria Hall and Nina Hunter Gallery & Collectors Lounge.

Victoria Hall will form the centre of Saltaire’s Christmas celebrations, culminating in the Christmas Light Switch-On at 5:30 pm.

Throughout the day, the historic hall will host:

  • Winter Wonderland Immersive Experience
  • Independent retail by Rad Studio
  • A designated bar area by Cultures
  • Coffee and Bakery
  • Brass band and Choral Performances
  • Workshops for adults and children
  • Seasonal festivities

The Christmas event is a long-standing, popular fixture in the village calendar and, following a period of renewal, the community has been working hard behind the scenes to restore it as a significant annual celebration.

Alongside this programme, the Art Fair will introduce a dedicated space for contemporary fine art, providing nearly 30 m² of exhibition space, and a basement exhibition level within Nina Hunter Gallery & Collectors Lounge.

The combined exhibition spaces can accommodate up to 40 artists, with each artist booking a minimum of 1 m² of exhibition space.

Theme & Selection

All 2D medium and styles of contemporary fine art are welcome, including oil, acrylic, gouache and watercolour painting, as well as linocut, etching and other printmaking practices.

Submissions may encompass a range of genres, including abstract, figurative, landscape, portrait and architectural work.

There is no set theme.

The final selection will be curated from the submissions received, with consideration given to the quality, individuality and coherence of each artist’s practice.
