Hogarth Productions is seeking a sound artist, sound designer or sound editor with experience in collaborative work to attend a one-day symposium, near Cambridge on July 18th. Applicants must be available for this date.

Sound Playground is the working title of a new 3-phase project being developed by Hogarth Productions.

By the end of phase 3, we will have developed an outdoor, interactive sculptural sound installation suitable for touring.

In phase 1, we will gather together a diverse group of artists, including visual artists, sound designers, contemporary dancers, programmers and fabricators for one day.

We will spend time understanding how technology can help us in the project, explore people’s different disciplines, begin to perceive how the multi-disciplinary team might work together and consider how we can ensure that the work is accessible to people with disabilities and SEND participants.

The selected artist will be required to

·      Deliver a short presentation about their practice

·      Participate in group conversations to explore how their practice and technical expertise might integrate into this multi-disciplinary project.

You will receive a full brief in advance of the event. Whilst we are happy to consider all artists, we particularly encourage applicants from the East of England, those who have worked collaboratively and those who identify as disabled or have SEND

Fee:

£300 for the day plus a potential half-day follow on one-to-one meeting if required.

Please send a CV/link along with a covering letter to Hogarth Productions.

In your letter, it would be useful to understand what technology/software you use/are familiar with.

Closing date: 30th June
