Open Call: Artist of the Month

Presented by SPIRA9 ART

About the Opportunity

SPIRA9 ART is pleased to launch an ongoing open call for our Artist of the Month programme — an international platform designed to spotlight compelling contemporary voices in visual art.

Each month, one artist will be selected for a digital feature that celebrates their work, creative process, and artistic vision.

Selected Artists Will Receive

A dedicated Artist of the Month feature on the SPIRA9 ART website

Each month, we highlight one selected artist with a dedicated feature page that includes a curated review of their works, artist statement, bio/CV, and links to their portfolio or social media.

These features remain permanently archived on our website and receive prominent placement on the homepage during the month of their release. Our site receives an average of 1,500–2,000 unique visitors monthly.

A curated online solo exhibition

This online showcase is designed as an immersive digital presentation hosted on our website and promoted as a stand-alone event across our platforms.

The exhibition includes 6–10 artworks, a written curatorial introduction, and may also include video or audio if provided. We typically see 800–1,200 views per online exhibition within the first month.

Publication in the SPIRA9 Annual Art Book, featuring 12 artists annually

At the end of each year, we select 12 featured artists (one from each month) to be published in our SPIRA9 Annual Art Book.

This publication is both printed and made available in digital format.

The print version is distributed to selected art spaces, partner organisations, and participants, while the digital version is sent to our mailing list and promoted via social media.

On average, the digital version receives over 3,000 unique opens/downloads annually.

Digital promotion via SPIRA9’s newsletter and social media platforms

Each Artist of the Month receives spotlight promotion through our monthly newsletter and through posts and stories on Instagram.

Our social media content is curated and scheduled for optimal visibility, and we often include featured works in seasonal highlight reels and reels/posts beyond the month of the feature.
