Welcome to Art Gallery Here, Art for All. A nomadic and free range participatory mapped exhibition where you leave a piece of work for someone to find and document it on an interactive map. The exhibition itself depends on the photographic documentation and additions to the map.

Art gallery for All is an element of a larger project that is exploring access to art and the environment of galleries, studying who has access to art and who doesn't, what the barriers are, real or imagined.

Exhibitions are taking on more interesting formats these days and the hope with this is that it will encourage more free range projects, putting the art out into the streets, train stations, subways, archways, libraries, cafes, doorways and window ledges, bus stops, park benches and stairwells, hospitals and elevators, supermarkets and even art galleries themselves, no location is off limits and where you leave your artwork is up to you.

With this project the idea is that absolutely anyone can own an original piece of art, no money is needed, no invitations to private views or networks of people, they only need to be in the right time at the right place to come across it.

Artists are encouraged to leave a piece of original artwork in a location of their choosing, anywhere in the world. Simply attach the label in the accompanying image to the back of your work, take a photo of it in your chosen location and submit it via this page with a geographical location, short description of the work, why you chose it, why you chose the location and anything else you want to say.

The point of this gallery is to encourage us all to think differently about the work we make and share and for whom it is available.

Through my research it has become clear that one of the biggest barriers to art for many people is the often over the top language used in artists statements and descriptions of work. So please try to write your description in relaxed easy language.

There is no geographical or time limit on this project and the hope is that it will continue as long as people wish to participate.
